The French brand Le Chameau makes particularly good boots out of the most innovative materials. In 1927, Mr Chamot a French hunter, decided that he wanted to make waterproof boots. The idea arose from complaints from other hunters, farmers and fishermen, whose footwear was not waterproof and durable enough for their work. Today, the performance of the boots is even more impressive as the company is always looking for new innovative solutions. The traditional Le Chameau boots are hand-crafted by master boot makers who have to follow a 9 month course before they are able to produce any boots. These boots are all made from 100% natural rubber, and neoprene or leather as a lining.
